Menopause

Are you finding it
difficult to cope
with the symptoms of
menopause?

Are you struggling with physical, mental or emotional symptoms of menopause?  Do you know much about the range of symptoms that menopause can bring?  Many people don’t.  The symptoms can range from irregular periods and hot flushes to brain fog, forgetfulness and irritability, to severe, debilitating anxiety, overwhelm and inability to carry out what used to seem like basic, everyday functions.  For many people, this can be scary and lonely.

If this sounds like you, and you’d like some support, don’t hesitate to get in touch, to see how Hypnotherapy can help with the physical, mental and emotional symptoms, and get you on the road back to your best self.

A note about neurodivergence… There are an increasing number of women who are being diagnosed as neurodivergent in their 40s and 50s (neurodivergence typically includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia) and it is no coincidence that this is around the same time as a lot of women go into peri-menopause and menopause.  Research shows that when the levels of oestrogen drop, ADHD symptoms get significantly worse.

Many women who had no idea they were neurodivergent are being diagnosed after years of masking (masking means pretending – putting on a mask and pretending that you can cope, when actually, you feel like you can’t).  You might be finding it incredibly difficult just to get through each day, finding that old coping strategies no longer work, and at the end of each day, you’re exhausted from wearing this mask.

That might apply to you and it might not, but it is vital to mention, because when menopause and neurodivergence are put together, the symptoms seem to be amplified.
