I am a qualified, registered and insured professional Clinical Hypnotherapist with extensive additional training in Counselling, Psychotherapy, EMDR and Mind Coaching. All my work is carried out in line with the code of ethics and conduct of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH); a copy of which is available on their website. These Terms and Conditions apply to all of the work I do.
Therapy can be extremely effective; however there can be no ‘guarantee’ of a cure for any given condition. Therapy requires commitment and motivation from both the Therapist and the Client to achieve the best results and whilst I will always do my absolute best for you, I do not have a magic wand. My sessions contain a mixture of therapies and techniques, depending upon your individual needs. I will always discuss these with you.
Fees are charged by the session, payable 24 hours in advance, by BACS. Cash payments can also be made at face-to-face appointments.
First sessions can last up to 90 minutes. Going forwards, 60 or 90 minute appointments are available depending on your needs.
Cancelling an Appointment
Please give as much notice as possible if you wish to change or cancel an appointment.
Less than 24 hours' notice will incur a charge of 50% of the fee with 100% being charged for non-arrival.
Arriving Late for an Appointment
If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate this, but if I have an appointment immediately after yours, your session may need to be curtailed. The full fee will still be payable if your session has to be curtailed due to your late arrival.
I undertake to treat you with respect and am always respectful of the trust you put in me. I will use best practice at all times in our mutual interest. In return, you undertake not to harm yourself, or me, or any property belonging either to me or any other person during our sessions. You agree not to come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except those medications prescribed by your doctor. If you do come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or if you demonstrate violent or abusive behaviour, I reserve the right to cancel the session and refuse any further therapy sessions.
Psychosexual / Fetish Therapy
It is important that you fully understand that this is not a physical therapy; it is a talking therapy.
Social Media Policy
As a Therapist, it is important that the relationship I have with clients remains in the therapy room, but with so much personal information available on the internet, it is important that boundaries are clear. I have a strict social media policy and I don't interact with clients on my personal pages as this is both inappropriate and unethical.
I have a business Instagram profile, which clients are welcome to follow.
I have a business Facebook page which is public domain and is used solely for my Therapy Practice. Clients are very welcome to 'Like' this page and share the posts, if they feel it appropriate for them to do so. Comments on posts and Facebook Reviews are always welcome, but please never post any personal information regarding appointments or about yourself, as this is public domain.
I have a personal Facebook page which is private and I don't accept friend requests from clients.
I have a personal Twitter profile, which is open and transparent, and shows me as the human being that I am, as well as the Therapist. I don't follow clients on Twitter, as this would be both inappropriate and unethical, and I respectfully discourage clients from following my Twitter profile. The exception to this is if we were already connected on Twitter prior to you becoming a client.
You are welcome to leave a review on Facebook or Google, but I'm unable to publish testimonials on my website as it is discouraged by one of the professional societies I am part of.
COVID 19 Guidelines - Face to Face Appointments
In line with Government guidelines, social distancing will be observed at all times. You can wear a face covering to attend your session if you wish, which you will be invited to remove if you wish once you are seated. There will be hand sanitiser for you to use upon arrival, and I’ll ask you to remove your shoes, so feel free to bring some slippers or socks along for your comfort. There are individual blankets for the use of each client and individual hand towels for the single use of each client in the bathroom, with the bathroom fittings and door handles thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant between clients. Unfortunately, I am not able to offer water, so please bring some with you if you think you might need a drink.
If you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, please let me know and we will re-schedule your appointment for at least 14 days later.
These guidelines will be updated as and when new guidelines come through from the Government or from the National Council for Hypnotherapy or the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.
If any area of the guidelines is unclear, please ask.
I'll look forward to working with you.
